The schematic from the balanced modulator and crystal filter pre-amp are correct, just finished to place the boards in the radio and made a quick test, still need to check BFO frequency and align the impedance match on the filter.

Superhet or Direct Conversion?

I do prefer superhet but any superhet end's up in some sort of direct conversion at the IF part...

I do try to understand always a little bit of what I am building but the more you learn the more you know how little your knowledge is.
